In the years before, Werner held various managing functions at LION Bioscience, Hewlett-Packard/Agilent and Merck KGaA. He did his doctorate thesis in protein analytics at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried (Germany) and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Mannheim University (Germany).
